Books by the Sutnar Faculty graduates are exhibited at the Biennale in the Alexandria Library

We are pleased to announce that Eva Majerová, Agáta Vodičková (Mrózková) and Alžběta Nemcová, graduates of the Book Design and Paper Shaping Studio, will present their books at the prestigious BA International Biennale for the Artist's Book in the Alexandria Library from 4 to 24 September.

Enter: daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, except on Fridays

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina's International Biennale for the Artist's Book, which began in 2002, exemplifies art as a means of communication and dialogue. The event is held every two years. Each round is different than the last in terms of goals. At the end of every round, the BA keeps the work of the participating artists. These works have accumulated over the years to form a special and diverse art collection. Within the framework of the Biennale, a number of art workshops are held in cooperation with some of the BA’s counterparts to introduce the public to the Artist’s Book. The wonderful exhibition also has a strong Czech presence - 9 briliant books by artists from the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art.

The Czech Republic's representation at the biennale was supported by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo and the Czech Centers Egypt.
